Description
This A3 Poster of Frida Kahlo is part of our new Icons Range. The poster comes with a red background or you can choose to customise the background colour using the colour picker.
Frida Kahlo is considered one of Mexico’s greatest artists. During her lifetime, she created some 200 paintings, drawings and sketches related to her experiences in life, physical and emotional pain and her turbulent relationship with fellow artist, Diego Rivera.
At the age of 18, Kahlo suffered several serious injuries as a result of a road accident and spent over a year in bed recovering from fractures to her spine, collarbone and ribs, a shattered pelvis, shoulder and foot injuries. She endured more than 30 operations in her lifetime and during her convalescence she began to paint. This quote is testament to her fighting spirit and belief that she should never give up in spite of life’s difficulties:
“Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?”
The poster is printed to the highest quality and can be posted internationally. Posters are normally dispatched within 1-3 days if in stock. Customised orders can take 3-5 days.
